Welcome to the Double Dare UK tabs pages. We are actually a live pub band performing around Horsham, Sussex, but I have published some of my 600 song tabs on this site for sharing amongst the music community. If you want to copy tabs, simply cut and paste the words off the page and straight into WORD or NOTEPAD. I have worked carefully on many of these TABS to make sure that the chords are shown directly over the words, so the chord change corresponds exactly to the place where you are singing. That means you can play the whole songs straight off the paperwork without having to think about the structure of the song at all. I hope you enjoy these CHORDS, and please check out the many more we have on the SONGS page. Check out my band on the rest of the website too if you are interested...

        Chorus:

                  C                                                  G

It's that little souveneir of a terrible year which makes my eyes go sore

Subject: CRD: 'Here's Where the Story Ends' by the Sundays

I got the chords from two separate posts last year, and added the picking

pattern I use at the end.  Corrections and additions are welcome to both

the chords and lyrics.  I'll post 'You're not the only one that I know' in

a couple days.

HereÕs Where the Story Ends by the SUNDAYS

Gmaj7          Cadd9

People I know, places I go

Gmaj7                                                   Cadd9

Make me feel tongue-tied

Gmaj7             Cadd9

Like you see how, people are down

Gmaj7              Cadd9

There on the inside

Gmaj7  Cadd9           Gmaj7 Cadd9

HereÕs where the story ends

People I see, weary of me

Showing my good side

Like you see how, people are down

IÕm on the outside

HereÕs where the story ends

Oh, hereÕs where the story ends

B*

Oh, itÕs that little souvenir of a terrible year

      Gmaj7            Cadd9

Which makes my eyes go so

B*

Oh I never should have said, the books you read

     Gmaj7           Cadd9

Were all I loved you for

Oh, itÕs that little souvenir of a terrible year

That makes me wonder why

ItÕs the memories of the shed, that make me turn red

Surprise, surprise, surprise

Places I know, places I go

Make me feel so tired

Like you see how, people are down

IÕm on the outside

HereÕs where the story ends

Oh, hereÕs where the story ends

Oh, itÕs that little souvenir of a terrible year

Which makes my eyes go so

And whoever would have thought, the books you brought

Were all I loved you for

Oh, the devil in me said

Go down to the shed, I know where I belong

But, the anything-I-ever-really-wanted-to-say

Was wrong, was wrong, was wrong

Oh, itÕs that little souvenir of a colorful year

Which makes me smile inside

So I cynically, cynically say, the world is that way

Surprise, surprise, suprise, suprise, surprise

HereÕs where the story ends

Oh, hereÕs where the story ends

I use this picking pattern near the end of the song:

------2------2------------------0------

---------------0---------3---------3---

----0------0----0--------------------0-

-----------------------2------2--------

---------------------3------3----------

--3------3-----------------------------
